As insurance claims for work-related mental health conditions escalate, many important actions can be taken at the workplace level to promote better mental health, including training for business leaders in how to manage staff concerns.

As businesses, organisations and teams, we have an obligation within Work Health & Safety Legislation that stipulates that we have a Duty Of Care to ensure our workplace is safe.
Most of us can identify who the First Aid Officer is within our organisation or department. We understand that they are designated to take control and manage a situation in the event a person suffers a physical injury in the workplace.
Mental Health should be treated in a similar manner – a designated, specifically skilled person from within your team to assist people who may be in need for support with their mental health – the Mental Health First Aid officer.
In this MHFA Accredited
